Unable to find or add friends

Followed the process to finding and adding friends but it did not work. I'm still unable to find or add friends through contact, facebook, email or fitbit name/account even though they have fitbits and fitbit accounts. I have a Fitbit Versa and an LG Stylo phone. I just keep getting these error messages.

I have the fitbit app on my phone and everything else tracks and works. I'm using my phone now to post these messages. I'm also able to receive friend invites to fitbit challenges. So i'm assuming my phone is compatible.

@Melanie4kps  did you check the list? Not all phones are compatible and when they aren't, some features might work.
