Unable to join up to 5 Challenges

Fitbit Update 03/31/16: As this issue has been resolved and there has been no new mentions of this continuing to be an issue, I will be closing this thread.

 

If this issue arises again, feel free to create a new thread so I can take a look into the new instance. Thanks to everyone for your participation.


Fitbit Update 03/23/16: Some users have reported that they are unable to join up to 5 Challenges at one time.

 

PLEASE NOTE: If you're only able to join up to 5 Challenges at one time, this is expected behavior.

 

Our team is currently aware and working on getting this issue resolved. If you're still experiencing issues, please try the following:

 

  1. Log out of the Fitbit App
  2. Log back in
  3. Try to join the Challenge again

If that doesn't resolve the issue, please provide the following information:

 

  1. What type of Challenge were you attempting to join (Workweek hustle, Goal Day, etc)?
  2. How many Challenges were you participating in when it happened?
  3. What Android make and model and Android OS version are you running (ie 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, Lollipop, Marshmallow)?

Every since the new update. I can't join new challenges. It says I'm in 5 already but only in 2. I'll find the suggestion page but we should be allowed to join more they 5 challenges. Maybe 5 of each challenge.

a problem with the update at a guess, not syncing with the server properly? same with the iphone app, strange thing is, only some people are having problems

My fitbit won't allow me to join additional challenges....but I am only in 2 and I keep getting an error that I can't join more than 5 when I go to join my 3rd challenege.

Same here....

Details:

1.) Started happening yesterday morning, about 9AM

2.) Platform: Android OS, LGL22C phone

3.) Number of challenges currently in: 1 active, 2 awaiting sync, 1 ended and no awaiting sync

4.) I want to up my step goal to get the next badge and start a Goal Day challenge to see how close I can get

Forgot types of challenges: 2 Weekend Warriors (both awaiting sync), 2 Workweek Hustles (one in progress, one ended with no awaiting sync.

I even tried quitting one of the chalkenges and still nothing.

I just did an update 30 minutes ago that Fitbit had for "bug fixes" and it did nothing. After I updated it, I even restarted my phone-- and nothing.

Same problem here.

 

1. Samsung Galaxy S6

2. Android version 5.1.1

3. Android Security Patch Leve 2015-11-01

4. FitBit App Version 2.20.1(2142876)

 

Email sent to Fitbit support through phone App so it provides all pertinent information.

I am in 3 challenges and unable to participate in 5. I receive an error message that 5 is the maximum.
Also, when opening a challenge that is already full, the app crashes. It does not give me the info, that the challenge is full anymore.
I tried deleting/reinstalling, clearing the cache, still not working 😞

Same problem here, I am only in 3 challenges and it says I can only be in 5 at a time. I even cleared the cache, new install, nothing changed though.
Also, when clicking on a challenge that is already full, it will crash the entire app 😞

I'm also seeing this... And by searching the forums I've seen it has been happening for months. How hard can it be to fix it? It used to work for me until last week.

I have the iphone 6+ and this started happening to me yesterday.  I also have had my Fitbit Alta for about a week.  I've tried everything they say...and it still says I'm in 5 challenges and I'm not!

I am having the same problem. These challenges are now over with and I can't get them to clear out or go away. Every time I touch the challenge the app shuts down

I also can only be in 3 challenges. If I try to enter/start more, it tells me I can only be in 5 at a time!! So frustrating!! Fitbit had this problem not long ago!! I hope they get it fixed soon!!
