Hi @Kerryster. Welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for letting me know about your Charge 3 and the steps that you've tried on your own. Let's work together to bring the text notifications working correctly. Since your Samsung Galaxy S8 phone is a supported device, please confirm the Android version running on your phone. Although you've tried troubleshooting your Fitbit device, please give a try to the following in the given order:
- Remove the Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings.
- Turn off other Bluetooth connections that aren't nearby.
- Uninstall the Fitbit app from your phone, and reinstall it back.
- Reboot your phone and restart your Charge 3.
- Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile's picture > Charge 3 > Notifications and set them up one more time.
I'll be around, so keep me posted.

There is no permanent solution for this issue. Even if you get it working it will just disconnect every few hours. The worst part about it is that they charge you $7 to return a watch that never should've been advertised as Samsung/android compatible.
