Unable to reply to messages from within the app

(please note, no fitbit device involved, only a laptop and an android phone)

 

I received a message from my friend from within the fitbit app, on my phone.

 

When trying to reply I hit the send button, I get a message flash up on the screen saying message sent. The chat window however has not updated with my reply. 

 

I have tried closing and reopening the application. No effect. 

I logged into the web page and checked the chat on here, it has not updated. I used the reply function on the web page, again I got a flash up saying message sent, but it has not updated the chat. 

Checked again in the app and refreshed the web page. 

 

I don't know if it is a problem with my account - as I would suspect this would be a major issue if it wasn't working for anyone. It cannot be a problem with my phone, as the website was used from a laptop and that has the same problem. the fault follows the account / fitbit functionality. 

 

Has anyone else experienced this or know why this might be happening?

Thanks for sharing those details on the matter and your feedback.

 

In this case your account is not working incorrectly. This is the way messages work on Fitbit. We do not display threaded messages and only display the messages you received, not sent. 

 

Having said that, we have this suggestion about showing threaded messages. You could vote for it to show that you'd like to see something like that implemented. Be sure to read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.
