Unable to setup Charge 2 with Nokia 6

Hi,

I've been using Fitbit Charge 2 for nearly a year now. Lately there was a Fitbit app update and it also told me that there is a Charge 2 update for the tracker. When I tried to update the tracker it failed multiple times. I went through troubleshooting. I restarted the tracker multiple times, restarted my phone (Nokia 6- android) and reinstalled the app. The app/phone finds the tracker and gets to the page where I have to insert the 4-digit code and after it tells me to try again. I've done this process also while the tracker was on charge (attached to wire charging). I really enjoyed using the app and the tracker and I'd like to have this problem solved as nothing changed, my phone is still the same. The problem started with the latest update from Fitbit.

Hello @Amb96, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting your device prior to posting. Let me share with you that the Nokia 6 is not currently listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you may experience certain connection difficulties with it. I'm aware that some users are able to use non-compatible devices with our Fitbit products, however, we cannot ensure a proper function of all its features due to this compatibility concern, Fitbit app, device and Android updates.

Even though your mobile device is not compatible, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

If by any chance you're still unable to use your Fitbit with your mobile device, I suggest you to try with a compatible device or a computer instead.

I'll be here if you need anything else, please keep me posted.

Hi,

I did a factory reset for my device. I went through all troubleshooting again. Suddenly my fitbit is connected to the device but it is not syncing. Telling me that the last sync was on Sept 14th. It is also advising me to update the tracker with latest updates. I started having this problem when Fitbit app was updated to the new look etc, I've had my mobile phone before the Fitbit watches and I never encountered any problems only now with the update.

Your reply and update are appreciated @Amb96, sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I'm happy to know that after a restart your Charge 2 was paired. If you're experiencing syncing difficulties with your device, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes. As per previously mentioned, even though you were able to use your Fitbit and your mobile device in the past, we cannot ensure that this will remain the same due to Android, Fitbit app and this compatibility concern.

Looking forward to your reply if further assistance is required.
