upgraded to Galaxy A70 last week and since then had lots of problems with my flex 2...
The battery was draining so I got a replacement but the new one doesn't even connect! I connected the old one and it works, grudgingly, but works.
Any chance for an update for A70? it's a new phone!

For the last 5 years my Charge 2 has always synced with my S6. No issues except when the clocks change twice a year. I got an A70 last week but could not pair with my charge 2 even though it was detected and gave me a XXXX pin code. If I try to pair via the Bluetooth phone icon (in settings) it is detected but "Cannot pair. Check settings for this device and try again".
So I powered up the S6, connected as normal and synced a few days of data. I then saw that the A70 was also connected and fully synced. Both phone screens were identical. I thought I had sorted it.
However......I turned off my old S6 and when I went to sync the A70 that evening I was back to square one. I again powered up the S6 but deliberately did not sync it. The A70 then connected and worked perfectly....until the next time.
So the Fibit App and Charge 2 can work on the A70. It is just a small piece of coding that Fitbit need to develop for Bluetooth connectivity and then release a firmware patch. Unless of course Android software is rigged to prevent it so we all get Google Fit devices :-).
So stop trying to connect the A70 and keep your old phone for a while longer. Running around in circles trying to get it fixed does not add to your daily step count !!

Hi, my Galaxy A70 has been working fine for weeks but is now refusing to sync with my fitbit charge 2. This is since my battery keeps losing power on my fitbit, I've tried everything to solve the battery issue but it only last around 48 hours now. It's 18 months old. Do you have any suggestions please.

Hi Katie68W,
I have never managed to get mine to connect to the A70 unless my old S6 is on. Even then I suspect all it is doing is downloading the new stats from my fifbit online a/c, rather than syncing them from fitbit directly, once the S6 uploads them. I am also have to charge my fitbit more often.
I think the only solution is for a manufacturers firmware update. It cannot be too difficult unless they want to retire it and get us to buy a newer model!!
I will try a few more things and update here if I figure anything out. I sometimes crack them or the Android software.

I see that there seems to be a problem syncing with the Samsung A70. Is this going to be resolved? I find it very disappointing the amount you pay for a Fitbit for it not to be compatible with one of the latest model phones.

you should be able to change the strap My fitbit watch is fairly new and its a special edition too. I am hapoy to swap but not happy to buy a new one simply because fitbit is not interested in fixing the issue.

Hey there, did your fitbit Charge 3 work with your A70? 🙂

Yes, it works every time. I have disabled "all day sync" as it can drain battery power and it is not necessary to do so. I do a manual sync each night to record (in an excel sheet) the previous days data. Bit nerdy but I am on target to average 11,000 steps a day for 3 years. The sync usually takes about 45 seconds.
