I haven't been able to pair my Versa2 with my Galaxy S8. I have performed all of the tricks and suggestions but it will not pair. The versa 2 will show as a paired devices. However, when trying to click on versa 2 to pair it does nothing.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and troubleshooting your device prior to posting too. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

I have exactly the same problem. After a lengthy conversation with the customer service number, I was informed that an update to fix the issue is being done and that it will be available in less than 2 weeks. Given your issue was 3 months ago, i'm dubious.
Does anyone have a solution?
