Unable to setup device

Wasting far too much time trying to synch my fitbit to my phone. Unless I find an way to do this I will buy a different brand tracker. It simply does not show up on the bluetooth paired devices. And \I have just paired it using the code number 5 minutes ago. Seriously fed up with the confusing information given out.

To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? Also, which Fitbit device? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device.

 

After verifying the above, please move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Please make sure that your mobile device is compatible because due to a compatibility concern you can experience connection difficulties.

Phone is a Samsung Galaxy J5. It is a charge HR that I have had for a few years.

The phone has been working with the fitbit for well over a year. Over the last year it has become erratic. For example today it does not appear on the bluetooth available device list. Yet it tells me it synched yesterday at 21:40. The phone and fitbit have been in the same room all day. I have been through all the steps you indicate. As mentioned yesterday I paired it as a new device apparently successfully. 5 minutes later "the device cannot be found". Firmware version is 18.128. While typing this it has synchronised about 13 minutes ago and now shows a red triangle. All day synch is switched on. As I try again it now synchronises OK.  The paired bluetooth device on my phone is my car. The phone can also see my son's Huawei fitness tracker as an "available device". It does not show the fitbit in the bluetooth list. I love the silent alarm and need to be able to change it from day to day. Any help will be much appreciated.
