I didn't think to check with phone compatibility in 2019.
I have 3 recent releases of Android phones. After purchasing my fitbit charge 2, I found this board and started to read about compatibility. Most iphones are compatible with Fitbit. Most androids aren't. Fitbit should make that clearer in their advertising.
None of my phones connected. I'm not going to waste my time with workarounds.
My fitbit is being returned. I'm buying a knock-off on Amazon that someone here suggested. Thank-you for the head's up.
(My Fossil watch had no trouble connecting to any of my phones. It's too heavy to work out with. )

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner.
As you mentioned, this is happening because the Stylo 3 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.
As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing .
If you decide to keep it and none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.
I'd also like to thank you for your feedback and would like to let you know that we take all comments seriously and are always looking for ways to move forward. Hopefully you can consider Fitbit again in the future.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
