Hello @Lisadh2734 welcome to the Community Forums! Smiley Happy

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Please make sure that your mobile device is compatible because due to a compatibility concern you can experience connection difficulties.

Keep me posted, I'll be around if you need anything else.

I have not been able to sync my zip on either phone or laptop since August 13. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling app, turning on and bluetooth so far. It is becoming very annoying.  Sorry you are having problems as well. But, glad to see that with so many people being effected an answer will hopefully be on the way.

I have had the same experience. I have to plug into my computer to sync any steps at all. Interestingly, the Fit Bit app on my android phone does update any calories but no steps or stairs.

Same, only syncs with my PC... On rare occasions it'll sync with my phone, but it mostly just 'searches for device' forever.

My One fitbit used to sync with both my Android phone (either automatically or manually), AND my computer, but now it will only sync steps/stairs when I plug the unit into the charging plug using the computer. This just started around August 10th or close to this date. Hopefully FitBit will address these issues and put it right again.

My Fitbit flex won’t sync with my Ipad neither after the Fitbit update. I’ve been syncing with my Ipad for years so I’m not new at this. I tried to force a sync and it just keeps looking.

What do we do? It is very frustrating after so many years of good service.

I tried everything and my flex won’t sync with neither of my IPads after the last update. I hope Fitbit has another update to fix it

After exhausting all their suggestions (updating phone, turn phone off and on, etc)  they offered me 25% off a new device. Clearly, they aren't looking to fix the update from aug 13th.

That’s ridiculous, we should have an option to roll back the update when it makes it useless until they fix it.

Let us know if Fit Bit makes any changes to our problem. Thanks.

I haven’t received any iPad bug repair updates for my Flex. The Flex has a reset hole in the charger that I tried hitting while it was trying to sync and it worked. After I took it out of the charger and back in the wrist band it wouldn’t sync after multiple tries. I tried the reset in the charger again while it was trying to sync and it worked again. Now it’s been syncing the last four times without having to reset it in the charger.

Sounds like you found your fix for the Flex. My model is the Fit Bit One
which may not be available any longer. This is my 3rd one and I think it is
much more accurate on counting legitimate steps than wrist models. I may
have to change if they do not support the old models. I sure hope not. I
love my FB One.

Fitbit One is $299.92 on Amazon so it must be discontinued to charge that much.

Wow! Why would they increase it so much, I wonder.

Whenever something is discontinued stores charge a lot for what few are left. The Fitbit sales website doesn’t sell the Fitbit One anymore or at least I couldn’t find it.

I found this from earlier in the year for the same problem, and it worked for me:

Just got off the phone with customer support.  Grace was a life-saver.  She solved my problem.  Here are the steps she walked me though:

  1. Log out of the FB app.
  2. Turn off the phone's Bluetooth.
  3. Restart the FB tracker.
    • Insert the tracker into the charging cable.
    • Press and hold the button on the tracker for 15 seconds.  Not 10-12.  15 seconds.  The device should not light up when removed from the charging cable.
    • Remove the FB from the charging cable.
    • Press the button one time to restart the tracker
  4. Turn on the phone Bluetooth.
  5. Restart the FB app.
  6. My tracker started syncing right away.

If you don't have success, call FB Tech Support at 877-623-4997.

Good luck.

Long read ahead!

I have a fitbit One, and it hasn't been properly syncing to my android app for at least a week now. Didn't notice if it corresponded to an app update, but my best guess is that's the case. It's so frustrating!

I have to Rube Goldberg the heck out of my charger, One, dongle, phone settings, and app to get it to sync. Using my account on a computer browser is fine...the browser version will evem pick up my One steps and any water, exercise that I enter into my app, but the app won't work  other way around. The app will sync my One steps once in the morning /early afternoon.

The only "solution" is to plug your Fitbit device to charge, hold the power button until it turns off, close the phone app, and then turn off location and Bluetooth on your phone as well. Then turn on location, restart the app, turn on your device, then immediately go to your Bluetooth screen and turn it on to pair your device IN THAT ORDER. Sometimes my phone will say pairing rejected by One, but after a few more attempts and restarting the app yet again, it magically syncs.

Now the only problem is that, the next day, the app will not show the steps, water, and food that it had synced the days before and will only display data entered via the app the entire time
