Hello,
I am trying to use the track my exercise/activity on my Fitbit One for a run. I thought I read on another post that I could do this without GPS and leave my phone at home (The tracking may not be 100% accurate). When I do this I get the following message when I finish the activity "To finish and save, Fitbit needs a longer activity, with a change in location". Am I not able to leave my phone at home while I run to avoid needing to carry around my phone?
Scenario:
1. Start run on Track My Exercise
2. Leave phone at home and go on 30 min run
3. Come back to home. Pause then finish activity.
4. Receive this message "To finish and save, Fitbit needs a longer activity, with a change in location"
Android App
Fitbit one
Thanks!

Hi, @Hufflepuffkin! If you start an activity on your phone, you need your phone with you to record the activity. It will use the phone's accelerometers to register your steps. If you're just doing something like going for a run, your tracker will pick up the steps, although I don't believe the run will be recorded as an "activity" on the One.
