Unresolved syncing issue with Surge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I can only sync via the app about once a week if I turn off the Surge and then log into the app. I even went so far as to get a new mobile phone and got no where. Still no answer from Fitbit as to what the issue is but to go from syncing all the time with a single tap to having to log on and turn off device to logging back in and turning on. The device kind of defeats the purpose on the purchase of this Surge.

It's great to see you around @bdug. Thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. I would like to know if you keep having problems connecting your tracker with your phone? If you do, I recommend following our syncing troubleshoot and check that your phone is a compatible mobile device.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Not resolved.  End of story.  Nothing seems to work.  I even went out and purchased a new mobile phone despite the fact that my Samsung Galaxy S4 is a compatible device.  The only way I can get my Surge to sync is to choose shutdown on the Surge and restart, log into fitbit app on my phone and then it will sync.  I find this useless to me as it had synced constantly before up until September 18, 2016.  Just as a side note, I am going back to my trusty old Garmin running watch.  I can get all my info from that including my individual mile times on the device itself without having to "sync" it to anything.  I am beyond frustrated and the lack of response from Fitbit.  There are tons of other people having the same issue with different trackers and using both android and IOS platforms.  The same advice is given over and over by moderators and support staff.  Listen up...it is not working!!!!!

i am having exactly the same problem with galaxy S4.  if i shut down and restart the phone, shut down and restart the surge... it will sync occasionally.  I've been with fitbit since 2013... but getting ready to move on to something else, perhaps Samsung Gear 3 when it comes out....
