Update Fitbit App Message when trying to Set Up Charge 4 on Samsung S8

I am trying to set up a new Charge 4 on my Samsung S8 (running OS version 9).  Every time I try to set up the tracker I get the message to Update the Fitbit app and to ensure my phone is running OS7+.  I have tried all of the steps below and then some (turn bluetooth on and off, etc).

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

It is still not working.  It does recognize the device and asks if that is what I want to set up, but when I try, it gives me the same message.

@Mandderss, what version of the Fitbit app are you using?  You can identify the app version by opening the Account screen and selected Help and Support - the app version number will be displayed at the top of the screen.
