I've tried to update my Android app twice now and both times it has come back with an Error Code 495. Kind of annoying.
Moto X (Gen 1) running Android 5.x.

HI there @shipo, this certainly is odd, but the error code is from the Google Play Store end. I recommend the following troubleshooting steps as it happened to me also when I tried to update the app.
Go to Settings >> Application Manager or Apps >> Open “All” apps. From the list of apps find Google Play store >> Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Hope this helps and let me know if the issue persists.

Thanks for your response, unfortunately your suggestions didn't work, the app is still failing to update.

Hi there @shipo, thank you for let me know that my previous suggestion did not resolved the problem.
I was investigating what is going on with the update and so far there are no other reports about this issue. So I went ahead and looked for workarounds and it seems this error is pretty common on Android devices.
There are other solutions similar to the one I provided before, one would be to search for Google Service Framework on your Apps Manager. Once you are same as before, Clear the Cache. It would be good to restart your phone after this and give it another try.
If this is not working the other workaround would be to remove your Google account from your phone:
- Go to the Settings
- Click on ‘Accounts‘ Button
- Select your Google Account there
- Click on ‘Remove Account.’
- This will remove your Google Account
- Reconfigure your Google Account again.
I will keep investigating this issue and if I came across with any update, I will let you know. Dont forget to let me know if the issue persists.
