Updated Android 3.6 app syncing issues and Fitbit app crashes when going into the 250+ steps per hou

I have tried the following to see if the Android 3.6 update behaves properly to no avail.  I have done this several times yesterday and again today.

Uninstall/reinstall the app...relink the Versa to the app and add the notifications and exercises.

Clear cache, force stop the app and restart the app.

It works for a bit and then I have to redo the steps above.

It didn't capture one of my hours for the 250+ steps per hour.  The information is correct on my Versa but not the app.  When I go into that tile I receive a message that Fitbit stopped working and it crashes the app.

Please have these issues researched and resolved.  This is getting old and it's rather disappointing that these updates are still having these issues for so many users.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0 version operating system and the software was updated July 2019.

Could one of you please check into the issues with syncing and the Fitbit app stopping then closing out / crashing when going into the 250+ steps per hour tile.  There is another thread noting this issue as well when the app was updated.

I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions online and nothing helps to have continual accurate syncing and stopping the app from crashing when trying to access the 250+ steps per hour tile in the Fitbit app with this version.

The engineering team needs to look into these issues and an updated version without any bugs needs to be done as was just done for IOS users.

Could one of the moderators please look into the issues I've posted regarding Android v3.6?

There is to much workaround to get this version of the app to stay stable enough to work properly (syncing).

In addition the if you go into the tile for the 250+ steps per hour you get a message stating that the Fitbit app stopping working and it crashes and closes the app.  There is a post on this issue with other users experiencing this issue as well.

I have done all the recommended troubleshooting uninstalling / reinstalling app 3.6, clear the cache and doing a force stop, removing the versa and setting it up like a new device and checked my settings and it still acts up.

Yes my phone is on the compatible list...Samsung Galaxy S7

Yes I'm running 8.0 Android version

Yes my phone has been updated to the most recent update

This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP.

New version 3.6.1 of the Fitbit app is now on Play Store. Let's hope it fixes the issues most people have.

@LostEchoes I'm waiting on updating this version to see what other users say about it before installing.   Don't want to have my Versa useless since each update just makes things worse.

Just like with the new  firmware....sounds like that's a mess as well.
