I just upgraded my phone. It's a Samsung Galaxy A3 and I upgraded to the 2017 version. Now it looks as though Fitbit doesn't support it!! Is there anything I can do?

Hi there @janevernon, thanks for coming back! I understand your point of view about the support for the A3. Unfortunately the time a device is added to the list is unknown even for us as moderators. The reason of this is to avoid any false expectation in case a devices is determined as incapable to support the Fitbit app and the Fitbit trackers.
Keep in mind the tracker does not sync through your Bluetooth settings, so it won't be in part too important if is not detected in a Bluetooth search. Since is the app in charge to read your tracker's information.
Keep an eye to our list of compatible devices for future updates. If your devices is not listed.
In case I got more news I'll try to keep you updated or if you have other questions you can find me here.

Hi there @janevernon, good to see you around! I'm wondering if you are experiencing any issue in specific with your upgraded phone?
Many phones may have all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but if they are not currently on our list of supported devices. This means that we have not tested it for compatibility and added it to the list yet or it won't support the Fitbit app. In both scenarios we cannot guarantee what would be the behavior of the phone in relation of the tracker and the Fitbit app functionality.
I suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for future updates.
See you later and stay tuned to the Fitbit Community!

Yes, the specific issue is that on a Bluetooth search, the device isn't found!
What was annoying was that my previous A3 is supported so I didn't think of checking anything before upgrading to the new version. However, if the list is contstantly being added to, maybe the 2017 A3 will soon be added as well. How would I know this had happened?
