Using Fitbit Android app to track steps without owning a Fitbit

Hi,

I have a clients who wants to track his steps but he does not own a Fitbit. Is it possible for him to download the Fitbit app to his Android phone, create a free account and track his steps using the app without having a Fitbit?

He has tried other step tracking apps but his work day involves a full day of driving on rough roads and the other apps are picking up a lot of steps from this so I'm hoping Fitbit might be more accurate, if it will work for him.

Hello @adaptivehealth and welcome to the Community forum.  Fitbit has feature called MobileTrack.  It lets you use your phone motion sensors to track steps.  It's certainly free to try.  But if the others apps used the motion sensors in his phone, he might have the same issue with Fitbit.
