Am only interested in my daily step-count, I would like to do that only with the Android App (like Google fit). How do I set this up?

There's a guide to setting up and using MobileTrack here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1875/

 

Not many phones support this though so be sure to use the link provided to check yours - MobileTrack must be listed as one of the supported features for the phone.
