Versa 2 not fully synching with Pixel 4

My wife has a Versa 2 that she has had for about a year. It had been working flawlessly until yesterday.

It appeared to be only partially synching. Steps seemed to be correct but sleep data was missing and last synch time was 1:00 AM yesterday morning.

I tried turning off bluetooth and restarting her phone and restarting her Fitbit. That did not work. The next thing I tried was deleting the Fitbit app from her phone and re-installing it. During the setup process the Fitbit app would detect the Versa 2 and the Versa 2 provide the numerical passcode that is entered in the Fitbit app. At this point it eventually times out and gives the option to retry which I did but it will just keep timing out.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I continue to have the same exact issue with the same Pixel 4.  My Versa is Lite version of the 2, I am seeing many posts similar and am really hopeful that they can figure out what appears to be a needed fix for many of us.  Small frustrations can be most difficult in our current storm and to me the service level on FitBits end has been Category 5 bad.....

The irony is that I have a Versa (original version) and a Pixel 4 XL and have not had any issues. Are your issues intermittent or has this been an issue from the get go?

intermittent, my wife bought it about 15 months ago and it started losing time and not syncing in November as well as losing time.  She decided to switch brands and I factory reset and am still having many issues.  The process I have been going through is almost daily uninstalling app and reconnecting but even that does not work at time.  It is strange that others may work, but with all the posts of issues, my mind says the App is to blame but support can not give me an update when or even if this is the issue.

Hi @raybtwo when a user removes the fitbit app from their phone, their is no need to setup the tracker.

Did you by any chance decide to remove the Versa 2 from your Fitbit account?

Doing so will only make a deeper hole to climb out of.

Let's look at the sync tips and the setup tips

I did remove the Versa 2 from the account but only after I had deleted and reinstalled the app and was still unable to sync. I have gone through the sync and setup tips to no avail. Below are a couple of screenshots. As you can see the app and watch are communicating but eventually setup times out.

Great to hear from a Community Legend on this as the crowd sourced support is a unfamiliar model to me and the textbook of customer service.   Your vast knowledge of the product scope must agree that recently the posts for issues syncing appear to be heavily trending upwards.  To me the hole we are trying to climb out of is issues with the either the device firmware or APP.  Can you message your sources within the company and inquire on when the next Versa 2 Lite Firmware or  Android update is due.  I plan to wait for either a firmware or Android app update and if this does not resolve my funding will go to another smartwatch vendor outside of the Fitbit family.  The offered discount from the company will not be used....

I too have a pixel 4 phone.  My versa 2 is 1 year old.  They have issued me (4 ) watch bezels because after each time the watch updated it stopped syncing to my phone.  They claimed it was a problem with the watch itself.   Well I am now out of my year warranty and they no longer will help me. I received the new watch 2 weeks ago and it updated 1 week after wearing it.  Now my steps wont synch to my phone. At one point they had asked me if i could use a different phone instead!!!  I could connect it to an old iPhone via wifi but I am not on data for that phone.  I looked into another Fitbit to see if there was one that was android friendly but there seems to be issues with Fitbit with a lot of phones.  I am very disappointed to say the least.
