Versa 2 not receiving notifications

This may sound weird, but I have an LG G8 ThinQ android phone which is paired with my new Versa 2. Both are fully updated.  Text messages sent by others who have iPhones are properly being pushed to my Versa 2.  Text messages sent by others (ans myself as a test) who have Androids are not being pushed to my Versa 2.  

 

Worth noting, I had a generic smartwatch prior to the Versa 2 that exhibited the same behavior which is one of the reasons I purchased the Versa 2.

 

All thoughts comments welcome.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for all the details that were shared with us. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

 

Keep in mind that the LG G8 ThinQ is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience some connection difficulties with it.

When might the g8 thin q be compatible? I bought it because I thought it would be. I went through all the trouble shooting with a fit bit tech person and then at the end they said not compatible. I just want my text messages to be read on my fitbit not hit open to phone button. It defeats the purpose.
