My Fitbit is all over the place. Haven't had it a year  wrong time not syncing will not let me change clocks wake up with wrong dates

Thanks for the explanation. I recommend you take a look at this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?. Here you find tips for syncing. 

Please make sure that the Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background:
