Versa 2 stopped syncing to my Android phone after the update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since the last update my versa 2 will not sync. I have restarted my phone, turned off my bluetooth. I have done everything you are supposed to do, this happened last year where it would not sync at all and you ended up sending me a new versa 2, this is starting to do the same thing. I spend more time turning crap off and on and pushing buttons to try to make it work. This is getting really old, when it works I love my Fitbit but I am starting to think I should have just gotten the Samsung watch.

Hi there, @AMG84. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services.

May I know the model of your mobile phone? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here.

Despite meeting the above requirements, the following devices often exhibit compatibility issues that cause our products and services to not operate properly:

  • Huawei P8 Lite
  • Huawei P9 Lite
  • Xiaomi Mi 6
  • Huawei P20 Lite
  • See these additional instructions for help resolving any issues using the Fitbit app on this device.

If your phone is not on the list above and meets the requirements to operate properly with the Fitbit app, please try the steps below:

1. Remove the Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth settings and in the Fitbit app.
2. Restart your Versa 2.
3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
4. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
5. Set up your Versa 2.

I spoke to soon, I have turned off my bluetooth and nothing,  then shut my phone off and restarted  it and still won't sync. I spend more time shutting my phone off and restarting it.

This is happening to my charge 3 as well. Very annoying to have to do all that is suggested. My syncing attempts are many and now it is showing a problem connecting with network. Fitbit please fix this problem. Thank you!

I tried it on another phone as well during the tech call and it still didnt connect not even in set up a new device. Not I cant get my Charge 3 connected to fitbit to even synic and my clock is now 5 hours slow. I am so disgusted with what Fitbit is doing when updating their trackers and not allowing trackers to synic.
