Versa 2 won't stay connected to Wi-Fi

New Versa 2 connects to wifi through a Samsung s21 5g, stays connected long enough to do the necessary updates and falls off the wifi network when I try to do anything, such as check news headline app.  My older Versa lite works perfectly with the s21 5g!  Is there a compatibility problem?  Versa 2 defective?

Communication from the watch is primarily via Bluetooth.

Wifi is only used for special operations, such as firmware updates or some music functions and normally requires the charger to ensure operation, due to the heavy battery load to run wifi.

If you aren't getting your news [which should be via Bluetooth] it may be some VPN or security software loaded on the phone is stopping the internet access via the phone for that operation.

Hi @FPZ as @Guy_ mentions, your tracker will communicate with the watch through Bluetooth. 

For WiFi, the tracker needs to be plugged in and charging. The tracker will then look for and do any needed music app updates. 

 

Where and when are you seeing the WiFi error message?
