Versa not getting notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just read Fitbit will be releasing the Versa 2. They should probably fix all the issues that are wrong and frustrating with the first one before launching another device. We paid $200+ and cannot get notifications, messages, calls, etc. This is ridiculous, tired of the run around. I have an LG V40 thinQ and when I bought it it all worked. It has been about 4 months since I've had issues. FIX IT FITBIT! How else are you expecting to compete with Apple?! Who's with me?!

Hi @LizieVee. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about the Versa. I understand how you're feeling about this situation, and I'm sorry that you've had this experience. Our team constantly works on our devices and makes improvements, and while the Versa 2 was just announced, in any way we've forgotten our Versa users. Be sure that your feedback will not go unnoticed.

About the notifications issues with your Versa, let me share that currently your LG V40 thinQ isn't a supported device. This means that the Fitbit app hasn't been fully optimized to work with this model. It might have been able to work if it fulfilled the minimum requirements, Android OS 5.0 or higher and Bluetooth 4.0. While we cannot guarantee that it'll always work, there are some steps that you can give a try:

  1. Remove the Versa and any other device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Make sure turn off other Bluetooth connections that aren't in use.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  4. Go back to the previous screen and tap on force stop.
  5. Reboot your phone and perform a regular restart on your Versa.
  6. Open the Fitbit app, tap on the profile's icon and then on setup a device.
  7. Choose the Versa, tap on replace device and wait until the process is completed.
  8. Then setup the notifications one more time.

Keep me posted.

Hi @Alicat4444. It's nice to see a new member around and I'm sorry for my delayed response.

Thanks for stopping by and I'm wondering if you're still having issues to receive notifications on your Versa. If so, may I know if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version? Do you remember since when you started to have this issue? I'd also recommend to give a try to the steps posted above, this way we can troubleshoot your Versa and get the notifications working correctly.

If the issue persists, please provide me with your phone's model, Android version and Fitbit app version.

I'll be around, so keep me posted.
