Versa not syncing with Huawei P20

Hi all! 

 

Reading this forum, it looks like I'm not the only one having a syncing problem. 

 

Today I have finally put my hand on the replacement Versa I received (the first one did non recharge). 

 

I paired with my P20lite and upgrade it to the last firmware version. Everything worked nice. It even made the first syncing. But that was also the last one. 

 

I came here and start looking all possible troubleshootings, but no luck. 

 

To summarize:

  1. First sync ok. 
  2. No more sync possible
  3. Tried reboot, reinstall, restart, ... No luck
  4. Tried to remove the watch from the account in the app but now when I try to add it back, the app finds the Versa via bluetooth, but then it cannot connect and says: It didn't wok!

Is there anything I can do?

I'm having the same problem with getting my versa to connect to my note 8! I got it for christmas and its worked fairly great but i noticed it wasn't syncing yesterday. I tried everything you did, but now it won't reconnect! Keeps saying there's an error with the bluetooth after it says it found the versa. Very frustrating!

Indeed it looks like a rather common issue judging by the amount of posts
on this subject here in the forum.

I really hope they have a solid fix and not just a patchwork to force it to
sync.

It is sort of unexpected that a pretty expensive device has such a stupid
problem.

Hi, got the same problem. Worked great on my Note8 but now it says bluetooth issues. Tryed everything, on/of, disconnecting to bluetooth, disconnecting to the app and now it won't connect to the app anymore. It shows up but doesn't connect. Very frustrating 😞

just to add an additional piece of information. Yesterday evening I downloaded the Fitbit app on my windows computer and use its bluetooth to connect and sync to my Versa. 

 

It really worked as a charm, not only the data from tracker were transferred regularly but I could also (finally) download apps on my watch. 

 

So said, I have the feeling that at the moment my Huawei P20 is not compatible (or fully compatible) with Versa. The P20 is at the moment NOT on the list of compatible devices.

 

Can anyone from Fitbit confirm my impression?

Have you tried updating the watch to the latest firmware? I'm also a Huawei (Honor View 10) user and a day 1 purchaser of the Versa. After updating the watch to version 32.33.1.30 it managed to stay connected all the time.

I finally got mine to work last night by simply restarting my phone. Go figure!

I updated to 32.33.1.30 on day 0! Actually I was forced to.
Maybe your Honor View 10 is more compatible than the P20 lite
