So, it started a few weeks ago. Though my phone is connected to my work wifi and everything else works just fine, my Versa won't sync. It updates the app, but it doesn't sync to the server.
Work wifi is 2.4Ghz and not a public network. And also, my Versa doesn't need to connect, just my phone, so why does it matter?
I'm pretty sure IT has been restarting the router when I've reported a problem. This used to help, but not anymore. I've also restarted my phone and killed and restarted the Fitbit app in android.
No problems syncing at home or over cellular data. I even tried to connect my Versa to the work wifi network through the app and it connected no problem.
My phone (Moto G6) is not on the officially supported list, but I really haven't been having problems. And I still get notifications and so forth.
Any ideas?

Hello @meresydotes.
Thanks for bringing this up and checking on all of that information to figure out what is going on before posting in here.
It is possible that there is some sort of firewall preventing the connection to go through when you are trying to sync. I've seen instances where this happens. Is there a way that you could have IT check if that's the case?
Let me know if there are any other questions.

@LanuzaFitbit I checked with IT and they told me they're not blocking anything on the wifi. We even just got a new mesh network and it's still a problem. They said there must be some problem on the app.

Hello @meresydotes.
Thanks for asking and letting me know what you were told.
In the meantime I'd recommend that you continue to sync at home or through your phone's data. I'll be sure to bring this up to the rest of the team.
If there is anything else that I can help you with, please let me know.

@LanuzaFitbit The problem with syncing over cellular data is, not only do I not have unlimited data, I pay by the k. The problem with just leaving it and waiting to sync at home is that sometimes the app is completely hung when I get home after failing to sync for hours and it takes a force stop or two to get it working again.

Hello @meresydotes.
Thanks for those details.
I definitely understand that it is not optimal either way, I'm sorry if I made it sound like that.
My suggestion in regards to syncing at home would be to try to force close the app when it is not being used or to try turning Bluetooth off when using the app so that it won't try to sync automatically as it is being opened.
Thanks for your understanding and let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
