Versa using mobile data

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

At Christmas I upgraded from a charge 2 to a versa. It tracks everything the same as my old watch did, except obviously this one has a pretty face and is waterproof. Since I got it 3 weeks ago it has used a full GB of my data. My old watch would barely do a fraction of that amount. I barely use data and this has caused me to go over my allowance for the first time ever. What can I do to reduce this without cutting off all the functionality that my old one could do for less data? Thinking of taking it back.

Welcome to the Forums @ellegant_e1.

I'd like to take a closer look at what could've led to this consumption of data.

Please answer the following questions:

  • Did you set up All-Day Sync or Always connected with the Versa and not the Charge 2?
  • How much data has the Fitbit app consumed?
  • Have you tracked more GPS data since you got the Versa?

In the meantime I'd recommend that you try to force close the app as soon as you stop using it.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Lanuza,

It seems I had all day sync on so I've turned that off now, I've also turned off background data. In the last 3 weeks it has used 1GB of data so hopefully it calms down.

I've not been tracking more exercise though as I cycle to work everyday like I always did so its definitely not that.
