Just got the Google pixel 3xl and it won't connect to my Fitbit versa and I don't know why I've tried everything

It may just be that fitbit doesn't support it yet. It isn't on their list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices (neither is the Pixel 2)

In the following thread there are mixed messages. There are comments from one poster that suggest fitbit have confirmed that the phone is not compatible yet someone else seems to have had success:

It was worth you trying but having tried all the fixes it seems that you have done all you can. Do you still have your old phone that you could use to sync?

No that had to be returned to my old service provider I assmued it wasn't on the list because the phone just came out a few days ago but saw where the pixel 2 xl was on the list not understanding why a older version would work but not a new this watch has become a $200 waist of money

Hi everyone, I was just having this exact issue with my Versa and brand new Pixel 3XL. Versa would not sync to the Pixel 3xl no matter what we tried! However after nearly an hour I may have found a work around/fix.

1) I forgot my versa from my old phone and turned the old phone off.

2) I uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app on my Pixel.

3) I went into my Pixel's Bluetooth settings.

- From here I saw that the versa was not on my recently paired devices.

4) I clicked on + Pair New Device

- Versa showed up pretty quickly here

- All other Bluetooth devices were turned off prior.

5) I selected Versa from the new device options on the list.

- Pixel recognized the pair so I moved on to the app.

6) I set up my versa via the Fitbit app as normal and it worked.

This worked for me after nearly an hour or more of trying to get this thing to work the usual to route.

TLDR: Pair Versa as a new device (forget it if it is already there) through the Pixel Bluetooth settings before setting up through the Fitbit app.

I hope this helps and if y'all!

Hello everyone!

As mentioned above, the Pixel 3 XL is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
