Versa2 vs strava

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Why am I always seeing a distance difference on my strava an fitbit. 1.5k is a massive difference to see. Seem the measurements are getting worse. All calculations are different but obviously distance is the main key.

Don't want to have to force stop the app every time, anyone found an for a fix for this?

Hi @Becs90 the issue is that the V2 does not have built in GPS and instead relies on your phone.  Until it makes that connection it estimates your distance using your stride length and then uses GPS to correct the distance when it connects.  Unfortunately this is not always accurate.  Also Strava uses total time as well as resting time to calculate and it also depends on how you are you are using Strava.

Are you also tracking on Strava as well as your V2?  I find then that Strava records a shorter distance as it informs me every km a good 300-400m before the V2.

Hi mark,

Yes I track on both. Makes sense then if the watch doesn't have GPS as On my watch I can see it connects to GPS then slips in and out of "connecting" can't seem to get it to link at all. My stava on my phone tracks it better on the paths I do
