Just had notification from Google that 2.80 is available to me in the UK. Normally I have to wait a few days after the announcement, what's going on?

Has anyone else got this? I haven't updated yet as having been caught out in the past I like to wait and see what howling starts before I take the plunge. Still nothing announcing it's arrival or reason for its showing up here.
