Whenever I try and check my sleep stats on my Fitbit App, the application crashes. I also have repeated warnings that the Fitbit App is unable to send notifications and needs me to reboot my phone.
My Tech:
I have done:
I am still having the problem and have since the last update to my Fitbit app. Is there something I am missing? Why is this happening? It's very frustrating since my sleep tracking is the most important feature of my Fitbit to me. I use it to help me manage chronic sleep problems and to document them so I can inform my doctors.

Every time I try to view my sleep details (look at light, rem, deep sleep info) on my Fitbit app on my android phone, it immediately kicks me out of the app and says: "Fitbit has stopped." it then gives me the option to "Open app or Send feeback." I've sent feedback numerous times but with no response.
Anyone have any idea why it doesn this?
Thanks in advance!

Hello @Orion11, great to see new faces in the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response and thank you for bringing to my attention the app is crashing when you try to see your sleep details.
In this case, I'm wondering if the issue persists? Also, I would like to know which version of Android do you have? And let me know when started this issue?
In the meantime, perhaps the following workaround will help you to correct this issue with the app: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
Keep me posted how it goes. I'll be around.

Hi @EHPrybylski and @SunsetRunner, awesome to have you here in the Fitbit Community and thank you for bringing this issue to my attention.
There is a new version around for the Fitbit app in Android platforms. I'm sure you have this version already so I would like to confirm if you have tried to reset the app after the Fitbit app update?
Just as a matter of review, try to do this process in the following order: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
@EHPrybylski you already tried this, so I will leave this recommendation optional for you. Thanks for sharing what troubleshooting steps you tried on your own by the way. I'm wondering if you have tried any additional step on your own too @SunsetRunner?
If the issue persists, I would like to know a few more details: Are you experiencing multiple, continual crashes or are just limited to the sleep section once in a while?
Is this issue started to happen right after using app version 2.71?
Another recommendation is to make sure other Google services or firmware are updated and make sure to not running the app in an external storage, as this may affect the functionality or the time of response of the app.
I'll be around giving follow up to your responses. Thanks gain for calling this out.

Hey there, @RobertoME.
It started happening after I updated the Fitbit application to the most recent version, and it happens every time I try to access the sleep tracker on my phone. I've been sending reports pretty much every time. It pulls up the window to view my sleep data for a split second before crashing, so I'm not sure what's going on. I can try reinstalling, but I'm not certain what it would do.
I have made sure my Android is up to date in every way I know how. I had another Android update recently, though I think it was a minor one from what I recall.
I am running the application off my phone rather than an SD card, since my S8 has plenty of memory for my applications at this time.
Thank you for your feedback and response! I hope we can figure this out since it's been really disheartening for me.

Hi @EHPrybylski, thanks for the additional details and made sure to review all the requirements to avoid the app keeps crashing. I'm sorry I haven't posted anything lately and rest assured I haven't forgotten this issue.
After your last post, we released a new version of the Fitbit app that specifically does not have a fix for the app crashing, however it contained stability improvements that might help to address this issue. For more details on this version visit this post.
I'm wondering if you have tried this update and how it goes? is the issue still persisting?
Let me know any new eventuality with this issue.

I apologize for not having seen this message. I'm afraid the issue has continued to persist. I didn't notice the message until coming back to the forum to see if there were updates--my guess is my email filtered the notification as spam.
