Walk data not syncing

I've been on a fitbit break since October.  I wore my charge 2 (the only fitbit I own now) this morning for a two mile walk.  Came home and opened the app to syn and this was the result:

Either the fitbit is defective or I have mastered the art of levitating and not needing to walk.  My vote is on the former.

Hello @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for sharing that screenshot.

I'd like to ask some questions to better understand what is going on:

  • Does your Fitbit, not the app, but your Charge 2 show steps or showed them at the time?
  • Did you try to manually sync it?
  • Has this continued to happen since then?

Let me know if you have any further questions.

It showed zero steps. I literally watched them disappear as the sync
happened. This is the last fitbit I will ever own. It is about 16 months
old and this has been going on for months. I am so annoyed. I would love
to get a full refund.

Tried again today for the first time since January.  Was doing some laundry (several trips up and down the stairs) and did a quick, somewhat hilly 1.3 mile walk.  Checked my tracker and it showed 4700+ steps and several flights of stairs.  Synced and the app (iPhone) and the tracker showed zero steps and zero stairs.  Still haven't fixed the problem. Nice work, fitbit.
