Walking exercise splits showing minus distance

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've just noticed after my walk that although the distance walked was 3.01 miles, one of the splits shows -0.01 and -9'-12" for the pace. If I'm not mistaken, surely this shouldn't happen?!?

I've included a Printscreen showing issue

Hello @beaver_545.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing those details and pictures of the matter.

Unfortunately I can't access the screenshot that you shared, could you post it directly in the Forums? You can do so by clicking on the 'Photos' button on top of the text field when you are typing your reply. Check the picture below for reference:photos.PNG

I'd like to take a closer look at what you are getting to better understand what is going on and what is the best way to move forward.

In the meantime please try to log out of your account  and then log back in. That will force the Dashboard to reload all data from the servers and thus should display the splits correctly.

I look forward to your reply.

Hi Lanuza,

I've uploaded the picture below, not sure why the link was working but o well!

I've logged out and in, and the split is still the same for this exercise. I would say it's a low priority bug, but thought it needed reporting!

At the time, I did stop my exercise just after my watch had vibrated to indicate a split, but afterwards, the screen was reporting 3.01 miles and hence I believed the 0.01 mile was the bit between the vibration and me stopping the exercise, but obviously in the app, it's reporting a minus number...!

Hello @beaver_545.

Thanks for sharing that screenshot and answering my questions about it.

I'd like to ask some additional questions to better understand the situation:

  • Has this happened again since then or was it only then?
  • What phone are you using?

I look forward to your reply.

Hi Lanuza,

I've only experienced this the once, but if it is due to the 0.01 miles causing the issue, then it will be hard to reproduce.

The phone is a Samsung Note 9

Hello @beaver_545.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Since it has not happened again it could very well be that it was a one time thing and won't be happening again.

Please continue using your Fitbit normally and if this ever happens again let me know so that I can take a closer look at it.

Feel free to let me know if there are any other questions I can help you with.
