Watch is tracking and syncing, but app isn't storing data

I'm at my wits end with this honestly. I purchased the Pixel Watch 2 as I needed a tracker for my sleep and thought it would integrate seamlessly with my Pixel phone.

The watch and app was working fine until the 3rd of December. Since then, despite the watch tracking data correctly and my watch and phone supposedly syncing correctly, the app contains no data on my heart, sleep, body responses - pretty much only records my steps and excercise.

I called Google support who passed me onto FitBit support. FitBit support made me do some troubleshooting such as uninstalling the app and clearing cache, despite the fact I explained I'd already tried these things. That didn't fix it, to which they told me to wait a few days and call back if it's still an issue. Brilliant 👍

Google won't let me return the watch because it's tracking the data correctly and FitBit support was completely pointless.

What am I meant to do?

@Icfred have you have received the Pixel Watch update for December? Are all the apps on your Watch updated, as well as the Fitbit and Watch apps on your phone?

If you've done all that and the problems persist, open the Watch app on your phone. Scroll down to "Tips & Support" and select that. Tap on "Send Feedback" and give as much detail as you can. The developers read that feedback and it's our best shot at getting this fixed. You aren't the only one experiencing issues with sleep tracking right now.

I've still not been able to receive any support for this problem.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for the reply Alex. Just thought I'd update you (and anyone else paying attention).

I sent feedback via the Google Watch app detailing my problem in extreme detailing. Haven't heard anything back (don't really expect to as it's just for feedback). I've not heard back from Fitbit after reaching out to them directly. I contacted Google again and this time insisted they don't transfer me to FitBit, so instead the agent (understandably I suppose?) told me they don't have the capabilities to deal with my problem and will open a ticket for me. It's been 2 weeks and there's not been a response to that ticket.

Very frustrated with the situation. Did more digging and trying to resolve the problem myself and I feel a bit like the meme of Charlie in the mail room in Its Always Sunny
