Water log not properly syncing with Android and Fitbit App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Starting with version 2.48 of the Android app (the first time that I was forced to use the new dashboard) the following bizarre behavior began:  Water stopped syncing in one direction.  If I log water on the Android app, it syncs with fitbit.com, but if I log water on fitbit.com, it never syncs with the app.  Food and weight both sync properly in both directions, but water does not.  All three synced properly in both directions with earlier versions of the app.

Hi

Feel free clearing the cache from the fitbit app onto your phone. Sometimes glitches, bugs.. can appear when installing newer app versions over existing ones..

Same problem here.  Tried clearing app cache and close/restart the app but no change.  This has been happening as long as I can recall.  The water entries in the app always come over to the desktop browser but most of my browser entries dont show in the app.

Hey, hey. @MrFovJr@Fozzy71Cat Tongue It is nice to see you around and it's unfortunate to hear about your situation. Just a  few questions my friends, have you tried to revoke the access from your Fitbit settings

Also, please provide more information of the other App you are trying to sync information with? What is the name? And is this something you are syncing only using the computer?

@SunsetRunner, nice to see you beautiful, thanks for your help! Heart

Provide as much details as you can so I can have a better picture of the situation. 😉

revoke access to what?  my android? then give it access again (if yes, how?)?  I don't use any app besides fitbit on my pixel xl and web browser.

Hi, @Fozzy71! Thanks for the update. Currently there is no option to do this using the Fitbit App, you need to do it using the online dashboard from the link I shared above. Select the option shared in the image.

REVOKEACCESS.png

And there you will see the options to revoke the access from each App you gave access to share information with. Then you simply link or re-connect them as you did the first time.

Let me know if you have more questions. 🙂

I still don't understand what to revoke access from?  Fitbit for android?  That is the only app I am using (the problem is the fitbit app and web page interface don't show the same water amounts).  How do I give access back to it after revoking it, if that is what you mean for me to do.

Hi

the issue is clearly mentioned.

The downlink sync is broken in fitbit system.

The andriod app syncs only once after clearing the cache.

Then again it never download logs from fitbit.com. Where as uploading of logs works fine.

This has been a problem for > one year and I've given up anyone at Fitbit acknowledging it. Its not a permission issue because if you log off the app and log back in it works correctly, once!
