Water tracker duplicates days and backdates consumption

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The Fitbit app has started glitching.

It messes up when I try to backdate consumption and is duplicating days.

I've tried clearing cache and reinstalling the app.

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing the steps that you have tried to get it to work. I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on.

In this case, could you share some screenshots of what you are getting on the app to better understand the situation. I'd also like to ask when did this start happening.

Look forward to your reply.

In addition please let me know if the issue has persisted or if it has stopped happening. Also, does it happen daily?

Hello @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for posting the screenshot again.

The first thing I'd like to ask you to confirm if you are running the latest version of the Fitbit app. You can click here to read more about it in here. In addition please let me know what Android version you are running.

In the meantime let's try to clear the app's cache and see if that helps:

  1. Go into the phone's settings.
  2. There, look for the application settings.
  3. Tap on the Fitbit app.
  4. Finally select the option to clear the apps cache.

That should help so that the water starts logging correctly.

Keep me posted on how it goes or if you have any further questions.

Hi

Same problem with my Samsung A3. It just skips a day. The issue started from 11 March I think. It just keep duplicating days. Already uninstalled/ reinstalled, deleted caches, etc. Appreciate any help to sort this.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for trying all of the steps that have been recommended and sharing those details.

On top of that I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on:

  • What app version and Android version are you running?
  • Has this continued to happen since then?

Look forward to your reply.

Things started to go wrong after 11 March. A few days after the latest update on 5 March. The water recording keeps 'creating' new 'today' after each new entry.

Thanks

Kancil
