The Android app is not doing basic math correctly, again.

This time, it's in the Weight->Goal Progress interface.

Note in this image it says my current weight is 76.5Kg, and I have lost 1.4Kg since May 11:

However, if I scroll down to May 11th, my weight was 80.7Kg

This means I've lost 4.2Kg since then, not 1.4Kg.

It's crazy to me that the Android app can't do simple math. Anyway, this needs to be solved.

@Dave_M_G Hi there. Thanks for the screenshots attached.

I appreciate the detailed information. Let's try the following:

- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Clear the app cache
- Restart your phone
- Log back in

Hope this helps.

@SilviaFitbit,

Thank you for responding.

I followed the steps exactly as you suggested, and it did not fix the problem. My weight at this moment is 76.2 Kg, Which is 4.5 Kg down from my May 11th weight of 80.7, but the Fitbit is showing that I've lost 1.7 Kg from that date.

The problem is not in the cache or data, the problem is in the code of the Fitbit app not doing the correct math on the correct variables.

Thank you for your generic form answer.

My Fitbit app updated today, and this is still a problem.

My actual weight loss since 5/11 is 6.3Kg, but Fitbit displays it as only 3.5Kg.

@Dave_M_G

Is it possible the maths are not done on the raw measurements, but on the curve fit represented by the blue line in the displayed graph ?

It is hard for me to compare with my own progress because I am in maintenance mode so no weight gain nor loss.

@SebWotan, maybe there's some other math being used that is not clear to me, but I'm not sure what you're suggesting.

I was one weight on May 11th, and another weight now. Wouldn't the correct number be the difference between the two? I don't understand how there would be a more logical choice of how to do this calculation.
