Fitbit Update 08/09/2016: Some users have reported that when they attempt to share trophies via the Android app they receive a "Network error."

If you're experiencing this issue, please answer the following:

  1. What Fitbit app version are you currently using? (instructions to upate app)
  2. What Android OS are you running? (Click on this from Android browser)
  3. What phone make and model are you using?
  4. Share a screenshot of the error message, if possible.

Our Product Specialist Team is currently investigating this issue. I will update this thread when I receive an update from them. Thanks in advance!

I was able to share trophies on Facebook through the app. However, now I get network error. I've uninstalled the app but still the same message. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks

Hi @ehawkes2009

Have moved this thread from the Flex to the Android App section to increase the chance of getting a solution.

Your post will get more attention here.

Does the error occur when using mobile internet, wifi or both?

If not already done, feel free restarting the phone.

Thank you. The error occurs on both mobile internet and wifi. It worked fine last week. I've also tried restarting the phone which still hasn't fixed it.

Hello my friend @ehawkes2009 Woman Very Happy, it's nice to see you here! By any chance, have you checked that your Fitbit app is up-to-date? Once you've updated it, try logging out and logging back in.

Let me know if this does the trick!

Hmmm very strange let me say @ehawkes2009 Smiley Frustrated. I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support directly so they can do a deeper investigation and see where the issue is coming from.

Don't forget to mention all the steps you've done so far to avoid getting the same ones.

Let me know what they say!

The same is happening to me. When a badge arrives I try to share it to Facebook and get a message saying 'Network error'.

When I find where the badges are in my account and try again I still get the error mesage.

Everything is up-to-date and synched.

Hey my friend @ballyshea, welcome to the Community! Some challenge winners are unable to share trophies earned. At the end of a Challenge, winners will see an image similar to the following:

If so, I'd recommend making sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date. Once you've done that, do the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App

Have a nice day!

OK. Done all that, but no change.

I did the Workweek Hustle every day last week and met my walking goal every day.

I can see a trophy in my account on the phone app, but still get the 'Network error' message when I try to share it.

Fitbit are fobbing us off and are just in this to make money.

Please get in touch with Fitbit Support directly so they can do a deeper investigation to see why your trophies are not updating as they should.

Don't forget to mention the steps you've done so far to avoid getting the same ones.

Have you been able to contact support as @MarreFitbit suggested? @ehawkes2009 , has the issue been solved?

When I want to share trophy I receieve error on press of share button. Funny enough there is no such problem with sharing badges.

@peter_budo Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend to update the Android Fitbit app to its latest version. Also, log out from the app, reboot your phone, and log back in.

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
