Welcome to the Forums @Ivjacobo.

Given that the S8 Active is virtually the same as a regular S8, it should work without any issues. Even if it is not on the list. I'd like to recommend that you try following the steps listed in this help article to get the Fitbit and your phone to sync correctly, in case you are having issues with that.

Let me know if there is anything else that I can help you out with.

re "Given that the S8 Active is virtually the same as a regular S8, it should work without any issues." Not true. I assumed this too, and I am now returning my Fitbit Charge 3 after hours of frustration. Lack of support for Active version of Galaxy phones is puzzling in light of the Fitbit brand being for "active" people. Will probably move, reluctantly, to a different fitness platform, probably Samsung Health, unless Fitbit announces support for my phone soon.

Thanks for sharing your feedback.

Did you get a chance to try the steps I mentioned above? Some users with phones that aren't on the list have mentioned that they do work in getting it to work.

Let me know if there are any other questions I can help you with.

Does Fitbit eventually plan to support Samsung S8 Active? If so, when? Thanks!

Hello @Olliesoldest.

I apologize for the delay in my response.

As mentioned before, given that the functionality and the inside components are the same as the regular S8, you can consider it to be supported and as such it should work.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I am very confused with your statement and accusations since other posts have clearly stated that at the moment Active 8 is not compatible because the galaxy 8 or 8+ components and hardware are different of the active 8. So which board is correct? I am interested in getting myself a fitbit, but I am not trying to waste my money if it will not work properly with my phone.

The S8 Active has some minimal changes, while the operation hardware is basically the same as such we should expect it to work correctly.

On other threads as well as this one, it has been expressed by multiple people, including myself now, that the S8 Active just does not work.  For me, it's the Charge 3.  After going through all Fitbit has to recommend, I was only able to connect my Charge 3 when I first bought it.  During the setup, it suggested a firmware update, which I approved.  After that, it wouldn't reconnect at all.  Unfortunately, I'm just going to have to return it since I can't consistently have it connect to my phone.

It would be nice if Fitbit would actually look into this and not just keep saying, "they're essentially the same phone, so your Fitbit should work".
