When will the Android app support syncing to the phone without the need to have an internet connection? There are a lot of angry users on this community site that Fitbit are simply not listening or responding to. This is a huge bug as far as i'm concerned. With poor product build quality (my Wife is on her 3rd replacement, mine is only 7 months old and is starting to come apart) and extremely worrying use of our data on Fitbit servers I fully expect Fitbit to be put out of business by the competition within the next 1 - 2 years.

Hello @runnnnning, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I understand your point of view and indeed it would be a convenient option to have offline syncing. However the internet is require to upload and compile the data from your Fitbit tracker to your Fitbit account, so you can have access to this information from different platforms and devices; your Fitbit app works like a online cloud to have access to your data on the go.
Fitbit takes data security and user privacy very seriously. We use industry standard methods to keep user data safe. We do not sell information collected from Fitbit products. You are in full control of when or if you want to share your data. All sharing settings are set to private as the default, and you actively need to change those settings and actively consent to share any data.
You can view our full privacy policy by going to www.fitbit.com/privacy.

I have already visited the feature request page you mention. The fact you
didn't check this proves that Fitbit do not care about that page and use it
simply to fob customers off.
I understand why it's useful to have the data available on multiple
devices/platforms. However, there is simply no good reason why users should
be prevented from seeing their data on their own phone just because it has
not been uploaded to the internet. Who owns the data? Is it the user or is
it Fitbit? If it's the former then we should be allowed to access it
without an internet connection. If it's the latter then I am extremely
concerned as to what Fitbit might decide to use it for. All it takes is a
careful interpretation of the terms and conditions.
I haven't even covered the fact that the watch time and alarms cannot be
changed without an internet connection. That's not particularly smart.
I am very unhappy with the product and think it's very poor that we do not
get a straight answer from someone senior at Fitbit about this. Customer
services responses have been unhelpful and quite patronising.
Will we get a response from a Fitbit executive?
Regards,
Steven
