Hay all i havent had any notifications since i upgraded my phone. Is this a common fault.

My first recommendation would be to review the toggle of notifications is On. Fore more details please review the following post.
If the issue persist, please give it a try to the troubleshooting steps from this post: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).
As an additional note, the Galaxy S8/S8+ has just recently been listed as supported and we are still working on some bugs with the S8 and are hoping to improve compatibility soon.
