Bought a Charge 2 today only to find out its not compatible with my 2016 Moto Z Play phone. Just wondering how much is involved with getting compatibility. Kinda disappointed the Charge 2 notifications/call isn't compatible with my year old phone yet. Are they always adding new phones?
Is it a deal killer? Eh, but when its one of the selling points on the store displays you'd assume it just works.
Hi @vice86!
You've been one of the many, like me, that has been scammed by fitbit. Fitbit products are generally not compatible with android anymore. (Despite responding to all the officially requested technical specs). Furthermore there's no way at all to get an answer from the company regarding what the problem exactly is and if and when it will be fixed.
Get your money back if you still have time and get a Garmin or a cheap chinese cheap. As all of them are all compatible with all android devices.
I was about to return it but decided to google some more. Found fitbit's page about getting notifications working...followed it...didn't really change anything and all of a sudden now my Moto Z Play gets the text/call notifications.
Only thing I don't like now is that you can only select ONE messaging app to get alerts about and I have 3 that I use. What's the deal with only a 1 messaging app limit for notifications?
