Hi Fitbit. Why do you still counting steps while autodetecting a cycling activity?? Why is it so difficult to program IF ACTIFITY=Outdoor cycling THEN No count steps 😠

Hi @HenkieV you have touched apon a very sore topic. What do you think fitbit should do? Which group should fitbit try and please?

  • Yes there is a feature suggestion to remove these steps.
  • Yes there is a suggestion to count all pedal strokes as steps.
  • Yes there is a suggestion to convert bike miles to steps, with no clue on what the conversion should be.
  • Some users say that they put the tracker on their ankle to count every pedal stroke.

Currently sitting a bike ride, the tracker may, ok does, count bumps on the road as steps.

I always try to count them on a stationary bike.  I recently bought a spin bike and I can't do that anymore but wish there was a way to do it!

@Mlindsey see my last post, the post you responded to.

I mentioned how some users count every pedal stroke.

o.k. interesting 🤔  Wasn't aware that people used it that way.

But it called in the first place steps not pedalstroke. So fitbit please count only steps when you are walking/running
