Why is my Fitbit Sending Me AFib Alerts?

Why is my Fitbit recording Afib data and sending me alerts when I'm not wearing my watch? It's quite concerning when I check my phone and I have 10 alerts and I haven't been wearing my watch.

Hello @Dacia43 and welcome to the Community.  When you take your Fitbit off, the green LEDs are supposed to turn off.  No green light gets reflected back to the sensor.  Sometimes the ends of the band will overlap in just the right way -- the light gets reflected and 'sensed', the lights stay on, and you get a totally fake heart rate recording.  Make sure the green LEDs turn off when you aren't wearing your Fitbit.
