How can I see my average steps per day for the whole year?

To get precise:

fitbit.com dashboard > 'Log' tab > 'Activities' tab > calendar icon at right > set start and end dates to see steps, floors, distance, calories within date range;  divide by 365 (or other range) yourself.

Quicker, seemingly less precise method:

from phone app Today screen:

Steps circle > expand arrows at top right > 1 year tab at top;  then cal scroll display left and right but hard to get exact desired date range, and sometimes seems (at least to me) to not change 'daily average' as scroll screen.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
