I see there is a widespread misconception that you cannot organize the various blocks of information as you want. Is it exactly same as before? No -  Remember, change makes the world go onwards.

If you want the "Today" tile to show "Steps" - "Zone minutes" - "Distance" - "Calories": Tap the "Pencil" icon in the top right, just below your profile. Swipe left   Tap "Get more active" tile.

Once in edit mode, you can turn on/off metrics as you see fit. Using the arrows, you can place the metrics blocks in the order you want.

When you are done, tap "Save."

Design is subjective, and there will always be different opinions no matter how Fitbit chooses colors, icons, and so on. Personally, I think it is both fresh and brave that they have chosen white.  We have been living under a "Dark Mode" tyranny for years, so – white? It is a Big YES from Me.

No you can't customize what you have to scroll thru. Even if you incidate what you want appear , you still to scroll down to see what you need.

How do I edit it so that it shows my current heart rate?

All I get now is some range.

Best Answer

No you can not customize the app or dashboard anymore.

Maybe if I went back to paying ten dollars a month.

@lisa54 you should see the range only briefly until the app connects with the watch and the watch starts sending your HR. If you always see the range there is a BT connection issue. The real-time HR should be there instead of range.

If there's nothing missing, can u tell me where to find the percentage of battery remaining?

Best Answer

You can no longer see your HR real-time consistently during exercise, and it no longer shows which range you are in, apart from numbers that sometimes show and most often don't. This was my favourite feature.

Yes, the design is subjective, but you cannot deny the total failure of this design when so many reviews and reactions are overwhelmingly negative.

Fitbit failed their customers.

I have the same watch and the same phone and could not see the HR in real time as I could with the previous version. The app is broken and a failure.

Why is there no thumbs down option... on this forum .... I really wanted to downvote your posts due to them being misleading ... I.e. that you are suggesting, absolutely incorrectly, that this new app ( cause it defo is not the same code base as the 3.x branch../version ) is better by pretending that you can make it look good by moving a few things around a terrible design and interface not to mention that the title is obviouly click bait ... yeah I fell for I am a sucker like anyone else who buys fitbits anymore...
