Since it updated, is there a way now for me to add Zumba to the exercise shortcut? I know there's auto detect but that won't start until 10 min into the exercise. I want to be able to track it from the time i click start to the time i finish just like the workout mode in the exercise shortcut.

Thank you,

Melanie

@Melanie4kps  When you use the auto detect, you do get full time credit.  If you use the auto detect and exercise for 30 minutes, you should get 30 minutes.  I often get auto detected walks of 11-15 minutes as I go about my daily life.  The key is the first 10 minutes.  I feel like there is some allowance for pauses -- sometimes I have to pause for a street light.  But I don't know how much pause time is built in.

To make sure you get your full credit, use the Workout exercise shortcut.  It's the best catchall for exercises that don't have their own shortcuts.  I even use the workout mode doing housework, because it's a workout!

One year after your post and they still haven’t added zumba to the exercise shortcuts. I agree with you. Tracking it yourself is more accurate than the automatic tracking.

Actually, it has been almost two years because you posted on 1-11-19. Fitbit’s main purpose is tracking exercise. They need to have a complete list of every single type of exercise out there: Zumba, aerobic exercise, dance, jazzercise, bellydancing, etc.
