can't get notification text messages to watch - android phone

Hi, 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled fitbit, I have checked all of the notifications to make sure that they are on. I can no longer receive  any type of notification but I especially want text. The screen on my watch also goes black I know how to fix that but still annoying

Any advice would be helpful

Please let us know what phone you have and what version of Android is on your phone. Also, which text app are you using that isn't giving you notifications?
