I've noticed lately that zone minutes tracked in an exercise no longer add up.
As an example, 10 minutes earned.
But:
3 minutes in the vigorous zone = 6 points, 9 minutes in the moderate zone = 9 points, therefore the total should be 15 points.
Have I got that wrong or is that yet another thing that the app can no longer do correctly?

You are correct - it is clearly wrong. I hadn't even noticed, but after seeing your post I went and looked at my last run and it was the same way. The results screen says 23 zone minutes. And yet the time in each zone at the bottom has:
Peak - 1 minute (2 zone minutes)
Vigorous - 15 minutes (30 zone minutes)
Moderate - 7 minutes (7 zone minutes)
So this would be 39, not 23. What I haven't had a chance to do is see what is actually credited (did it really give me 23 or did it give me 39). But for sure the display is wrong. Another day, another FitBit bug. There are so many of them...

In my example above, it appears I was credited with 15 zone minutes, which is correct.
However for my morning commute, I was credited with 18 zone minutes, but the actual exercise presented me with 6 zone minutes whereas it should have been 11 zone minutes.
It's a random number generator at the moment.

I noticed this change after updating to version 4.32, several weeks ago.
As best as I can tell, we are now seeing how many minutes of our activity qualified for Active Zone Minutes in the Exercise page and not the actual number of Active Zone Minutes that we earned. For that value, we have to look at the Zone minutes page. Even then, it's still a bit confusing.
What you can do is submit your feedback on this change using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:
Although it's like that you won't receive a response, the team receives and reviews the feedback reports.
