Has this error code 403 while doing a friend request been resolved, I see it has been around for quite a few years.

Hello @SueIs, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. Let me share with you that this specific error is affecting the Fitbit app only, therefore, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following steps and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for your prompt response. I don't know how long I have had this
issue but checking the community forums it has been a problem since at least
January maybe longer. And there was a post from someone at FitBit just
yesterday regarding this issue and that they were working on it but had no
fix yet. Also, the fix you suggested has been the boiler plate since January
and it does not work. This was the first time I tried to invite someone from
my phone. I tried today with the email address to see if that works. I have
a Samsung Galaxy J3V phone. I have been very happy with my Fit bit and the
app until this week when I tried to send a friend request. Although I seem
to have problems with this, I get random friend request from total
strangers, how they find me I don't know, as I can not seem to find a search
either on my lap top or phone. Again thank you.
